We recently published a list of female Bible characters with amazing lessons to learn. It’s a good thing to learn from history, learning from other people’s mistakes, (flaws and achievments).
Today, we’re publishing another list of Bible characters with another set of success laws to learn from. Sit back and read through.
Samuel was a very mighty man. He’s believed to be a promised child and he grew up with Eli learning the principles of priesthood. He later became a figure in Israel and being remembered till this day because of his relationship with and how he lived his life.
Joshua was the son of Nun. He was trained under Moses and had been his aide since his youth. After Moses’ death, he took over the leadership of Israel and finally led the people to the Promised Land. Joshua was a notable man and full of nobility, he proved this when he was sent out alongside others spies, while others came back with evil report, he proved courageous. It is noteworthy too that he was one of the two that remained and entered alive into the Promised Land.
3. Nehemiah (Neh 11:13)
Nehemiah was the son of Hachaliah. He was in Shushan the palace as a slave but gathered guts to go and repair the broken walls of Jerusalem. Despite oppositions and discouragements he faced while on the go, he remained unshakable until he brought back the lost glory of Israel.
4. John the Baptist (Matt 3)
John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus Christ. He was the one who came to announce the coming of Jesus to the Jews as the coming messiah. Most importantly, he baptised Jesus Christ. He was later beheaded because of his preaching.
5. David (1 Sam 17:22)
David the son of Jesse began his glory days when he was a youth. He rescued Israelites when he was but a youth. David later became the king of Israel and beside him; there has never being a king like him in the history of Israel. God referred to him as a man after His very heart.
6. Solomon (1 kings 1:32)
Solomon was one of the great kings of Israel. He became king after the death of his father, King David. Solomon was full of wisdom; he wrote the book called Proverbs in the Bible and other life changing books. His wisdom attracted a lot of people to him including queen of Sheba.
7. Elijah (1 Kings 21:17)
Elijah was a prophet of god in Israel. He’s the man with the mantle. Apostolic mantle, God did not joke with this man because he was serious with God. Remember he was the man who prayed that there should not be rain for years. Remember he didn’t die; he was taken up into heaven by god.
8. Elisha (2 Kings 2:1)
We cannot but mention this man in this list, whenever Elijah is mentioned, Elisha must be named. In fact he got a double portion of Elijah’s apostolic mantle; he therefore was a very powerful man at his time. It doesn’t take him time to call down fire. Just like his master Elijah, he protected Israel from their enemies and foreign intruders.
9. Moses (Exodus 3)
Moses was once a prince Egypt but was self exiled into Midia. But god met with him there and he became the deliverer of the Israelites. As a result of his meekness which the Bible recognises, he led them out of the house of bondage to the land promised them by god. He was succeeded by Joshua who we already discussed.
10. Joseph (Genesis 37)
Yes, this is the dreamer. He did not only dreamt, he pursued his dreams even in the face of so many hurdles, he kept dreaming and pursuing his dreams until he got what he wanted. This was the man who was sold because he dreamt a lot. Because he was firm with his vision and ambition, he went into covenant with God and was able to secure his father’s land from extreme hunger and famine in the land at that time. Noteworthy, he refused to take his master’s meal even when it was offered to him on a platter of gold.
